Little Trucks Birthday Tag

November 8, 2009

Good Morning ~ My youngest started pre school this year & most of the kids’ birthdays are at the beginning of the school year so he has gotten invited to quite a few.  Today he went to another one & we made a truck tag for his present.  It is made with a retired set but I have kept it with a nephew that is young & Graham still being young it can be used for a lot of things.

Little Trucks Birthday Tag

We skipped the card on this present & just made a tag with the birthday wishes on the back.   I did mat it on Whisper White  card stock.  I got the layout from the “Just Us Girls” challenge.  They have it set up as a card but I just made it smaller & made a tag out of it.  It was quick, cute & fun for a 4 year old birthday boy.  He loves 4 wheelers & skate boards but did not have anything like that.  He does like the dirt & trucks so thought this would work well.  I stamped the gates & truck, colored them with aqua painters & re inkers.  I then cut them all out & popped the gates on with dimensionals.  I then put a strip of black at the bottom & cut small strips of white for the white line of the road at the bottom.  I stamped the verse in black in the upper right hand corner.  I mounted the whole tag on a piece of whisper white card stock & stamped a verse on the back & signed it back there too. Below is a picture of the tag on the present.  I just ran some ribbon thru the tag & tied it to one of the bow loops.

Wow! ~ It’s been a while. Fire Truck Birthday

November 4, 2009

I have been gone for over a month now…  Wow time flies.  I had a couple of birthday parties, some vendor shows & a craft fair that kept me busy.  Oh, yeah & some sick kids.  I am posting some photos of one of the parties I did.  If you guessed it was a Fire Truck theme you were right.

a few engines

This is the front & side shot of tow of the fire trucks.

I also made some fun maze games with the Big Shot & the Match Box die with some card stock & acetate.    I also used some craft foam sheets & my Crop a Dile for the holes.  So quick & simple.  Leave me a comment if you would like directions on how to do this.Maze Game I just added some bee bees before I sealed the acetate down on the box base & wrapped ribbon around the box to hide the acetate edge & sharp edges.  I think you can see three down in the bottom left corner & one is still in the hole in the water.  These are really quick & fun to do if you have the Big Shot & you can change them up for any holiday or party theme.  Last year I made some up for the kids at Thanksgiving.  Something for them to do while they were waiting for dinner & the adults played with them more.  Go Figure.  Have fun with yours how ever you make it.

Day TWO!

September 29, 2009

HI Everyone.  This is day 2 of my blog.  I made this post it note holder a while ago & wanted to share it with you.  It is made with the retired Walk in the Park DSP from last springs Occasion mini catalog but you could just change it up to any pack of DSP.
Great Friend Post It NoteThe items I used on this project were an acrylic picture frame. I turned it so the photo would be 6″ horizontal & 4″ vertical & put the leg on the back of the frame up top so now it will have a slight angle to write on the post it notes. The back ground is slide in the picture frame where you slide in the photo. You could make these slide outs seasonal or even for a specific holiday like a birthday, Christmas, Halloween… The stamp set I used was Great Friend. I also used the Eyelet border punch, the large & small oval punch. I added some organza ribbon to the top & added my post it not pad. everything slide into the frame except the ribbon, post it not & the cut out butterfly. Hope you enjoyed todays project.
Picture 2

Well, I finally did it… Started a blog. Not sure what I’m doing, actually I haven’t got a clue! As soon as I figure this all out I will start to post what I create & share with all.
