I altered the sizes but it is basically the Acetate Box.  Click on the link & it will take you to the directions.  I made my box larger so my acetate sheet is two pieces put together at the edges.  I inserted 3 layers of 4 of the Homemade Marshmallows.  Here are a few more shots.  I’m just getting used to taking different angles so not sure how great they will be but enjoy.

This is a close up of the wrapping band around the center of the acetate.  I inked up the stamp from the level II Hostess set with my Stampin’ Write Markers.  Real Red & Glorious Green & left the outside edge uninked.  Once I was done with that I punched it out with the oval punch & then I punched out a scallop oval in real red & layered them & added them to the band of DSP from the Simply Scrappin’ Kit & wrapped it around the acetate.  Here is a quick shot from the side.  You really have to try these marshmallows.  Not real hard & they taste great even after the three days & they make fantastic looking presents when they are packaged up.

Here is what the top of the box looks like ~ there are directions on how this box closes up & it really closes up the box nicely.  Have fun trying it out.

Today is just a fun post. I have a very cool Marshmallow treat to show you tomorrow. Today I wanted to share the fun I had with my daughter at Chick Fil A’s family night. We made these Reindeer food.  Now that all the kids are in school at some point during the day I’m trying to expand my business & in order for me to do that I need to build my customer base.  We go to Chick Fil A OFTEN & most of the time it is family night so I asked the girls that run the family night craft if I could do a Stampin’ Up! project & they said sure.  I gave her a few ideas & she picked from that & I pretty much ran the evening last night.  I had my 13 year old there helping out because she loves to work with the kids.  We had a blast with the little kids.  I prepared the craft & it looked a little like this when my daughter came home from school yesterday…

And This    And This   T forgot to take a picture of the Top Note Close To Cocoa pieces.  I had them all laying out on the dining room table after I glued the antlers to each one.  Just think 60 Top Note dies spread out…  Lets just say the table was completely full.

My next sample is my very first project from the My Digital Studio program.  The more you play the more things you find out you can do with it & how easy it really is.I started with a card base in the program & changed it to Old Olive.  I then layered in the DSP from the Christmas Jingle theme the program has.  I then added the Real Red layer & then the Very Vanilla layer.  I added some punches to the corners of the Very Vanilla layer.  I then added the ornament stamped images & the verse.  As you can see you can make them in any color you wish & any size.  I also added the scalloped edge punch down the center & made it red & then added some what looks like hole punches down that by adding small circle punches & making the color Old Olive.  You really have to play around with this program to see what it can do & see how much fun it can be.

If you ever need a bow & don’t have one but have some wrapping paper left this does wonders & saves a trip to the store for that Bow you need to dress up your gift.  I took some Designer Series Paper (DSP) & cut 8 – 6″ stripes 3/4″ wide, then 4 more at 5″ long & one more at 4″ long.  I laid out 4 – 6″ with one pattern up then laid out the last 4 – 6″ pieces with the other pattern up.  Then laid the 5″ strips out with the pattern up matching the first set of 4 & then laid the last 4″ strip with the pattern matching the 2nd set.  Then I applied SNAIl to one end of each strip.  Then looped each strip around to make a section of your bow & made a circle loop with the 4″ piece.  Then I punched a 1/16″ hole in all the pieces & took a Jumbo brad & started with the small circle loop then layered the 5″ strips then added the next 4 – 6″ pieces in the opposite patterned & then finally added the last 4 – 6″ strips & closed the brad (very tight fit but works).  Click HERE for directions because I’m sure I did a very bad job at explaining this.  When I was done with the Bow I went on to make a matching

tag.  When you make your own bows you can make everything to match.  I used the Level 2 Hostess stamp set Christmas Punch.  I inked the scallop oval image with the poinsettia in the center with the Old Olive ink pad.  I then took a blender pen & removed the Old Olive ink from the outside scallop edge & the poinsettia flower in the center.  You have to go over these images several times & wipe of the excess ink on the blender pen.  You also have to “huff” on your inked image to keep the ink moist.  Once you have the ink removed I then took the Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker & colored those images in that I just removed the Old Olive ink from.  I “huffed” on the inked image one last time to make sure the ink was moist & stamped the image on Whisper White card stock.  I then punched it out with the Scallop Oval punch.  I punched a Wide Oval out of some scrap Old Olive card stock & layered the two together with a little bit of an off set.  I then took the 1/16″ circle punch thru one of the small circles in the edge & ran some Gold Elastic cord thru the tag & tied it thru the bow. I set those items aside & started on the gift bag.  You can use any gift bag you would like.  I measured the front of the gift bag & took a piece of the DSP & added 1/2″ to the width so I would have something to over lap & add SNAIl to.  I cut the piece a little off center & flipped one piece over, so now I had the two different patterns.  I put Snail on & worked over the bag when I was sticking the two pieces together so I would know how far to over lap the pieces of paper.  Once the two halves were together I added a piece of Old Olive ribbon down the center.  I then put Snail on the back of the DSP & then applied the DSP to the front of the gift bag.  Once I had that on the bag I put a Stampin’ Dimensional to the back of the bow & stuck the bow onto the top of the bag.

So there you have it ~ Bow, Tag & Bag It! for those last minute gifts that you forgot about.  You could make these bows with wrapping paper as well so if you had a birthday present that needed to be wrapped you could then have a “true matching bow”

This was less than 15 minutes maybe even close to 10 & look how great it looks.  I used some Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Merry Moments pack.  I also grabbed some textured 12 X 12 Real Red Card Stock.  I layered the pieces & ran them thru the Big Shot at the same time – that way I knew for sure it would all match up.  I punched one of the larger panels with the large Star punch.  I added the Real Red strip to the top of the box & then followed the direction that come with the Fancy Favor die & put my box together with some Sticky Strip.  I applied some Crystal Effects to the edge of the star punch shape & added some sparkle by sprinkling some Dazzling Diamonds on to that.  You can see it shine a little in the picture but in person it looks great ~ let me tell you.  After that I put some Holly & Berries on the top right corner from the Simply Scrappin’ Kit Christmas Jingle.

The kits are great because they are die cut images that coordinate with your project & they have adhesive on the back of them already.  After I was done adding the quick decoration to my box I dropped in a battery operated tea light & “Wa La”  Like I said Super Easy, Quick & Pretty.  Here is a side shot of the Fancy Favor box.

How stinkin’ cute is this.  This is just a small 1 # brown paper bag it’s 3 1/2″ wide & then you just trim the top down to fit the Top Note die (you can find these in your local craft store).  You will run the Top Note Die thru the Big Shot with Close To Cocoa Card Stock & cut out 2 one for the front & one for the back.  Just adhere to the bag with Snail.  Then you will use the Big Shot again to run the Tulip die thru your Big Shot with Chocolate Chip Card Stock & use just a portion of this for the antlers.  You can adhere it to the front of the bag at the top.  You will then punch 2 Whisper White large ovals & 2 small ovals out of black.  You will layer these as you see in the photo for the Reindeer’s eyes & apply to Top Note.  You can use a white gel pen to accent the eyes.  You can punch a 1/2″ circle out of Real Red card stock or use a small red pom pom.  Then take a black Stampin’ write marker to put on the mouth.    You can then flip the bag over & apply the 2nd Top Note piece & then apply the verse.

It reads:

“Magic Reindeer Food”

Make a Wish & close your eyes tight

Then sprinkle on your lawn tonight

As Santa’s Reindeer fly & roam

This food will guide them to your home

“Happy Holidays”

At this point you can fill the bag with some rolled oats & some red & green sugar crystals to sparkle in the moon light to attract Santa’s Reindeer.  Once it is full you can close is at the top with a brad.

Here is another bag that my mom designed & put some Snow Man Soup (Hot Cocoa mix, Marshmallows, & Peppermint stick) inside.  This is made will punches & the Top Note die as well… this time the Top Note Die is turned on it’s side & the Bashful Blue Card Stock is applied to lunch bag.

I stamped the the basket in a brown stazon onto water color paper.  Then I took my Stampin’ Write Markers & highlighted everything.  Then I went back with lighter Stampin’ Write Markers & blended the colors out to make it look like a water color.  The colors always turn out so bright & brilliant when I do it this way & the water color paper is a must because the paper holds up much better & the results are just fantastic.  Paper Pleasing has a great video on how to do it.  She’s fun to watch.

We skipped the card on this present & just made a tag with the birthday wishes on the back.   I did mat it on Whisper White  card stock.  I got the layout from the “Just Us Girls” challenge.  They have it set up as a card but I just made it smaller & made a tag out of it.  It was quick, cute & fun for a 4 year old birthday boy.  He loves 4 wheelers & skate boards but did not have anything like that.  He does like the dirt & trucks so thought this would work well.  I stamped the gates & truck, colored them with aqua painters & re inkers.  I then cut them all out & popped the gates on with dimensionals.  I then put a strip of black at the bottom & cut small strips of white for the white line of the road at the bottom.  I stamped the verse in black in the upper right hand corner.  I mounted the whole tag on a piece of whisper white card stock & stamped a verse on the back & signed it back there too. Below is a picture of the tag on the present.  I just ran some ribbon thru the tag & tied it to one of the bow loops.
